Dear Valued Customer,
Royal Food Service is actively monitoring the FDA's investigation involving the detection of
Cyclospora in the produce supply chain. We are in close communication with the affected
grower and continue to monitor updates as the FDA collects and analyzes product samples.
What Royal Food Service Is Doing
- Immediately notified all customers who purchased the affected product.
- Implemented our established product recall notification process.
- Suspended purchases and distribution of products from the affected Taylor Farms
facility in Mexico out of an abundance of caution.
- Will continue to monitor the FDA investigation and provide updates as new information
becomes available.
Our Commitment to Food Safety
Food safety remains our highest priority. Our recall procedures are designed to ensure
customers receive timely and accurate information whenever a food safety concern or product
recall affects products we distribute.
Recommendation
As a best practice, we recommend thoroughly washing all fresh fruits and vegetables before
preparation or service. When appropriate, peel produce that can be safely peeled to further
reduce potential surface contamination.
In addition, all employees should wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water before and
after handling fresh produce to help maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices.
Following these food safety practices can help reduce the risk of foodborne illness and support a
safe dining environment.
